Soil-type, climate and cultivation methods unique to the region give Aydin figs their large shape, soft, thin texture and honey-sweet taste.
A white residue may appear on the outside of figs. This is the crystallisation of the natural sugars coming to the surface of the fruit and is absolutely normal and safe to eat.
